Happy Birthday, sports fans!

This is a cake I did for my neighbor, Stewart's birthday. He's a HUGE Georgia Bulldogs fan. I found this cool stadium cake pan at Linens & Things. The fans in the stands are non-pareils. The red & black icing were storebought, only because I can't seem to make those colors without ruining them somehow (taste, texture, etc.). The football field is green fondant from the Wilton Primary Colors packaged fondant.

His reaction was priceless. It was a total surprise, and he was completely speechless. He said he didn't want to cut it and eat it, but he quickly got over that feeling!

You are just too good Kelley!

Hey, Seth is having a cowboy party on Saturday... want to ship me one? If I thought it wouldn't melt here in the AZ temps I would really consider it! But I will take any suggestions you have :-)

Maybe you could fly me out to AZ to do his cake?! I'd definitely go for that! Heck, I'd even do the cake for free!

I wish I could have! We just ended up doing a Sam's Club cake. It really wasn't very good though. I mostly enjoyed the frosting. I'm sure your cake would have tasted much better!!
